The Devotion: A Note From Niki

Dear face yogis,

This week is about the race of endurance, and how we can slow down throughout it. Our lives are a long, winding course of trials and tribulations, requiring such strength to make it through. Our bodies are the precious vessels that assist us through these busy days and it’s these bodies we need to return to, restore and take care of.

Although my work is predominatly around the face, and youthful beauty keeping exericese, I am also passionate about our sensitive nervous systems. We need to take care of our nervous system, to cherish and restore it.

Beauty can come from all places, but to sustain a deep and natural beauty, we must learn to balance and restore ourselves. So our body has the chance to do the good work for us, and keep us vital.

By doing this, and returning to our self care routines that relax our nervous system, we are staying on track for the long haul.

A facial practice that is to take you into maturity is not a quick fix. It’s a steady commitment. On some days it may feel exciting and new, but most days it is a check-in, a shedding of all the layers we have added through our day, and a slow unwinding of tension, stress, or numbness. Until we feel our essence, our soul begins to shine through again, like when the clouds are lifting after heavy rain and the first rays of sunshine are warming our skin. We come back, and we arrive. Through practice and our own devotion to the practice.

May you be rested and well nourished this week where possible, and keep up to your face yoga routines.

I promise you they will be investment gifts that will return to you ten fold in the long run.

Much love,

Niki

“There is no fixed physical reality, no single perception of the world, just numerous ways of interpreting world views as dictated by one's nervous system and the specific environment of our planetary existence.”
