Face Yoga as Ritual

The Philosophy

My work begins with listening.

The face is not an object to be managed or corrected, but a living, expressive landscape that holds memory, emotion, and identity. When approached with presence rather than effort, it softens. When met with awareness, it responds.

In my work, face yoga is practiced as ritual rather than routine — a slow, embodied dialogue between breath, touch, and sensation. Through this approach, habitual tension releases, expression returns, and radiance emerges as a natural byproduct of presence.

Devotion is not about fixing the face.
It is a practice of relating to it — with respect, curiosity, and inner authority.

The Face Core Method

The Face Core Method is built on five core principles that support balance, vitality, and expression over time. Through gentle activation, release, and awareness-based practice, the face is strengthened without force and softened without collapse.

This method forms the foundation of all Devotion experiences, daily practices inside My Face Yoga Gym, and the Face Core Method teacher training.

LIPID

Healthy fat is crucial for maintaining a youthful facial appearance. The LIPID technique aims to increase fullness in the cheeks and lips, balancing volume in areas often affected by fat changes, such as the jowls and under-eye area.

ROGUSA

Tension wrinkles, caused by muscle tension, are some of the earliest and most prominent facial wrinkles. The ROGUSA technique relieves muscle tension and balances tense muscles to soften and reverse frown lines, forehead lines, and crow's feet.

METAMORPHIC

Sagging occurs when the SMAS layer becomes dehydrated and stiff. METAMORPHIC techniques hydrate the SMAS and build muscular support, increasing the face's resilience to gravity.

MOLECULE

The molecule techniques enhance skin health by optimizing lymphatic flow and releasing tension in the skin's superficial fascia, ensuring a glowing complexion.

QUANTUM

Stress and unprocessed emotions cause rapid facial aging by trapping energy in facial tissues. The QUANTUM techniques release this energy, promoting a kinder and more nurturing relationship with your face.

The Devotion

Devotion is the lived expression of the philosophy and method.

It is face yoga practiced as ritual rather than routine — slow, sensory, and rooted in deep listening. In Devotion, the face becomes a point of contact with presence, rather than a site of evaluation or control.

Devotion lives in workshops, immersions, and private practice.
It is also the philosophical ground of the forthcoming book The Devotion.

Where the method provides structure, Devotion provides meaning.

Where the Work Lives

This work is currently expressed through several interconnected spaces:

My Face Yoga Gym
A digital practice space for daily face yoga, embodiment, and ritual.

My Face Yoga Shop
A curated selection of tools designed to support facial health and self-touch practices.

Face Core Method
A professional training and certification pathway for practitioners and teachers.

Devotion Workshops & Residencies
Curated in-person experiences created for wellness hotels, spas, retreats, and private groups.

Each space carries the same philosophy — adapted to different rhythms, needs, and depths of engagement.

About

I am the creator and steward of the Face Core Method and the philosophy of Devotion.

My work is informed by years of practice, teaching, and study in facial anatomy, embodiment, and nervous system awareness. I am particularly interested in how the face reflects our relationship to presence, self-trust, and expression over time.

I see face yoga as a lifelong practice — one that supports not only how we look, but how we live.

Journal

“I do not need a new “to do” in my day at all, however, in my ongoing research into well-kept skin, I cannot ignore that working out the face may be as essential as working out the body, to remain strong, healthy and tension-free”.
